Aesthetica takes small fragments of architecture out of context and recreates the subject and space into a complete new experience. Always been fascinated by reading forms, Struppert tries to understand the idea and intention behind architectural design.
It’s about distilling the essence of a place into the photograph. Aesthetica is a way of communicating the way she see and experience architecture.
Aesthetica II | 2017 -PRESENT
WALT DISNEY MUSIC HALL
This project is of the earlier work and implies a new way of seeing the architecture of the Los Angeles’ Walt Disney Music Hall designed by Frank O. Gehry. Drawn by the design and the surface of the building, Struppert wants to reveal a total new experience for form, light and texture.
Abstract Reality shows the relationship between architecture and people. Fascinated by architecture and street photography Struppert combines both elements. In most of her photographs of this series, she focuses on just a few elements in the composition. With concentrating on the essentials she reveals a kind of a Zen feeling and want to invite people to find ZEN in architecture in nowadays chaotic urban life.
